The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has commenced dispatching of the ₹150 commemorative coin issued to celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad , with bookings opening on March 9, 2024. Regrettably, both English and Hindi descriptions inside the folder package contain grammatical errors and inaccuracies. This oversight reflects a concerning lack of attention to detail and quality assurance on the part of the mint. This isn't the first occurrence; there have been numerous instances in the past where errors have occurred in packaging. The Government of India will issue a commemorative coin of ₹250 to mark the ' 250 Years of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited '. The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on March 12, 2024, confirming this coin. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), formerly known as Mazagon Dock Limited, is a prominent shipyard located in Mazagaon, Mumbai. Specializing in the construction of warships and submarines for the Indian Navy, MDL also fabricates offshore platforms and provides support vessels for offshore oil drilling. In addition to its defense-oriented projects, MDL is involved in the construction of tankers, cargo bulk carriers, passenger ships, and ferries. Mumbai Mint Opens Bookings for Ayodhya Ram Mandir Souvenir

The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has opened bookings for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Souvenir in Folder/Blister pack starting from March 11, 2024. The souvenir token is minted with a colored image of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir on the obverse side and Shri Ram Lala on the reverse side. The souvenir token comes in Silver with 999 fineness, weighing 50 grams, priced at ₹5213.  Indeed, the Kolkata Mint issued the same designed souvenir token for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir last month, marking the 19th Foundation Day celebrations of the Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL). It seems that approximately 15,000 units of the souvenir token from the Kolkata Mint have been sold. The souvenir token is available at the Mumbai Mint Premises as well as on the India Government Mint's official website. The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has started accepting bookings for the ₹150 commemorative coin issued to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad . The booking period commenced on March 9, 2024, and is subject to limited availability. Earlier, on February 8, 2024, the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released a commemorative coin and a postal stamp to mark the event as part of World Vaishnav Convention 2024 program organized by Gaudiya Mission at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The ₹150 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹3,087. The UNC Set is not open for booking yet. Furthermore, the Proof Set, which includes an MDF/Wooden Box, is also awaiting availability for booking. Mumbai Mint Starts Booking for AFMC Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has started accepting bookings for the ₹75 commemorative coin issued to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Armed Forces Medical College , Pune. The booking period commenced on February 24, 2024, and is subject to limited availability. The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) coin is issued in Proof and UNC sets with Folder/Blister packaging and a Proof Set with MDF Boxes. Earlier, on December 01, 2023, the President of India and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, released the ₹75 commemorative coin, special cover, and postage stamp, while conferring the President's colour upon the Armed Forces Medical College. The ₹75 coin, included in the Folder/Blister packaging within the Proof Set, is priced at ₹5,180, while the UNC Set is available for ₹4,620. The Government of India will issue a  commemorative coin  of ₹100 to mark the  2550th Nirvan Mahotsav of Bhagwan Mahaveer . The Ministry of Finance issued the gazette notification on February 23, 2024, confirming the coin. The 2550th Nirvan Mahotsav of Bhagwan Shri Mahaveer occurred on November 13, 2023, coinciding with Kartik Amavasya. The inauguration event was originally planned for November 26, 2023, at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi. However, it was postponed and is now rescheduled, possibly taking place on April 21, 2024, or earlier. The nationwide celebration of the last Tirthankara of Jainism is jointly organized by the Bhagwan Mahaveer Nirvan Mahotsav Samiti and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
