New Possible Commemorative Coin: Sri Ramanujacharya

This year, there is a possibility of a new commemorative coin being issued to mark the 1000-year completion of Sri Ramanujacharya. It is anticipated that ₹1000 and ₹10 denominations may be released for this occasion. Sri Ramanujacharya, a prominent Indian philosopher and theologian, lived in the 11th and 12th centuries and played a pivotal role in the development of the Bhakti movement. Born in the town of Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu, he became a leading proponent of the Vishishtadvaita Vedanta school of philosophy. Ramanujacharya's teachings emphasized the importance of devotion (bhakti) to attain salvation, advocating a path of loving surrender to God.
