Govt to Introduce New Series of Coins into Circulation Soon

The Government of India will introduce the new visually impaired-friendly coins with denominations of  Re 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10, and Rs 20 into circulation soon. "These new coins will soon be made available for public use," as announced by Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman during the presentation of the Union Budget 2019-20 in Parliament. Earlier, The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled the new definitive series of visually impaired-friendly coins of various denominations, including Re 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10, and Rs 20 on March 7, 2019. Collectors and numismatists alike are likely to be eager to acquire these coins to enrich their collections. As these coins soon become available for public use, they offer not just practical utility but also become valuable additions to the numismatic world, capturing the essence of India's currency evolution.
