Mumbai Mint Opens Bookings for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has opened the bookings for the ₹150  commemorative coin  issued to mark the  150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel . The bookings are open from October 30, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier in the evening, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled a commemorative coin and a postal stamp to mark the event at Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, ahead of the nationwide observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on October 31, 2025. The ₹150 commemorative coin is available in both Proof and UNC sets, presented in a Folder/Blister pack. Additionally, it is also offered in a Proof Set with an MDF box packaging option. The Proof Set is priced at ₹9,879, and the UNC Set at ₹9,718, both offered in folder/blister packaging. The Proof Set with an MDF box is priced at ₹10,487. The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled a ₹150 commemorative coin and a postal stamp to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel today, on October 30, 2025, at Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, ahead of the nationwide observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on October 31, 2025. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth ₹1,219 crore in Kevadia on the eve of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th Jayanti. These projects include the Birsa Munda Bhavan—an iconic centre dedicated to Bhagwan Birsa Munda—a residential complex for GSEC and SSNNL employees, the first phase of the hospitality district, and a Bonsai Garden. The Government of India will issue a ₹150  commemorative coin  on the occasion of the ' 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel '. The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on September 30, 2025, confirming this coin. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known as the "Iron Man of India," was a key leader in the Indian freedom struggle and the country’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister. He played a crucial role in the integration of over 560 princely states into the Indian Union after independence. A staunch nationalist and skilled administrator, Patel was deeply respected for his firm leadership and practical approach.
