Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Releases Commemorative Coins on M.G.R
The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Shri K. Palaniswami, and Deputy Chief Minister, Shri O. Paneerselvam, along with other dignitaries, released commemorative coins of ₹100 and ₹5 today to mark the 102nd Birth Anniversary of former Chief Minister Dr. M.G. Ramachandran . The release event took place at the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University Complex, Chennai. As part of the birth anniversary celebrations, a "Dr MGR Centenary Arch," spanning 66 feet in width and standing at a height of 52 feet, was unveiled. The arch is prominently located across the arterial Kamarajar road, adjacent to the renowned Marina beach in the city. AIADMK workers, led by Puducherry secretary P Purushothaman and party MLAs A Anbalagan, A Baskar, and Vayyapuri Manikandan, paid homage with floral tributes at a statue of MGR situated at the party headquarters.
