New Denomination 20 Rupees for General Circulation Soon!

The Government of India is reportedly set to introduce a new 20 rupees coin into general circulation. As per rumors, the coin is anticipated to be bi-metallic, adopting a Hendecagonal (11-sided) shape and design similar to the previous 2 rupees coin. If these speculations materialize, this coin will be the second bi-metallic addition to the currency, following the 10 rupees coin. The decision to produce and circulate coins of various face values rests with the Government of India, and these coins are manufactured in four different mints across the country: Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Noida, each identified by distinct mintmarks. The circulation of these coins is facilitated through the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Bank of Latvia launches Innovative "Honey coins".

The Bank of Latvia will release an innovative collector coin "Medus coin" on Tuesday, May 22nd, the LETA told the Bank of Latvia.  The shape of the coin is a hexagon with wavy edges and loose peaks. The obverse of the coin depicts the bee cells, with a different intensity of maturity highlighting the contours of Latvia and the Gulf of Riga, the inscription "Latvia" and the year 2018 on the lower left side, while the back of the coin (the reverse) is the representation of the bee cell with matte, but from the center To the left is a little down, there is a number 5, below it - the inscription "euro".  "The shape of the coin is unique, and when they coincide with the coins, they form a single set, just like the bees' honey's loaves of honey," added the Bank of Latvia.
