New Commemorative Coin: Acharya Shri Vidyanand Ji Maharaj
The Government of India will issue a ₹100 commemorative coin to mark the Birth Centenary of Acharya Shri Vidyanand Ji Maharaj . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on June 27, 2025, confirming this coin. Shwetpichchacharya Acharya Shri Vidyanand Ji Muniraj was a revered Digambara Jain Acharya known for his profound scholarship, deep spirituality, and tireless dedication to Jain principles. Born in 1925 in Karnataka, he embraced ascetic life at a young age and went on to become one of the most respected Jain monks of modern times. His contributions to Jain philosophy, temple restoration, and religious education left a lasting impact on the community. He was honored with the title “Siddhant Chakravarti” for his mastery of Jain scriptures and remained a guiding light for countless followers throughout his life.
