The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has commenced bookings for the ₹100  commemorative coin  issued to mark the  Sri Ramanasramam Centenary . The bookings began today, January 24, 2026, and are available in limited quantities. Earlier, on September 14, 2025, the commemorative coin was released by Dr. Venkat S. Ramanan, President of Sri Ramanasramam, at the Downtown Event Center in Fremont, California. Radhakrishnan, released the commemorative coin marking the Sri Ramanasramam Centenary during the ongoing 146th Jayanti celebrations of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi at a function held on January 22, 2026, in New Delhi. The event was attended by Dr. Venkat S. Ramanan, President of Sri Ramana Ashram, Tiruvannamalai (Tamil Nadu); Justice K. Sri Ramanasramam is offering the ₹100 commemorative coin issued to mark the Sri Ramanasramam Centenary to its devotees and the general public. The coins are being shipped directly from the ashram in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. Earlier, on September 14, 2025, the commemorative coin was formally released by the President of Sri Ramanasramam, Dr. Venkat S. Ramanan, at the Downtown Event Center, Fremont, California. At present, the ashram is offering the ₹100 coin in Proof sets, packaged in a folder or blister pack, subject to limited availability. The ashram is charging ₹10,000 per Proof set, plus shipping charges. These can be availed by contacting the ashram at bookstall@gururamana.org or donations@gururamana.org . The Government of India will issue a ₹100  commemorative coin  on occasion of  Sri Ramanasramam Centenary . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on May 15, 2025, confirming this coin. Sri Ramana Maharshi was a great Indian sage known for his profound teachings on self-inquiry and inner realization through the simple question, “Who am I?”. He spent most of his life at the sacred Arunachala Hill in Tiruvannamalai, where his peaceful presence drew seekers from across the world. Sri Ramanasramam, the ashram established around him, remains a serene spiritual center even today. It preserves his legacy through daily prayers, meditation, and the atmosphere of silence that reflects his teachings.
