The Government of India will issue commemorative theme  in two ₹100 coin variants as part of the inauguration of Seva Teerth Complex .  The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on February 12, 2026, confirming this theme. Seva Teerth Complex is a newly developed administrative hub designed to house the Prime Minister’s Office, the National Security Council Secretariat, and the Cabinet Secretariat. Conceived as a modern and integrated governance centre, it reflects a shift toward service-oriented and citizen-centric administration. New Commemorative Coin: Ol Chiki Script by Pandit Raghunath Murmu

The Government of India will issue a ₹100  commemorative coin  to mark the  100 years of Ol Chiki Script by Pandit Raghunath Murmu . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on February 9, 2026, confirming this coin. The Ol Chiki script was created by Pandit Raghunath Murmu in 1925 to provide the Santhali language with its own distinct and scientifically designed writing system. It was developed to accurately represent the phonetic structure of Santhali, which earlier scripts failed to capture effectively. Ol Chiki enabled widespread literacy among the Santhal community and became a powerful symbol of cultural identity, self-respect, and linguistic independence. Today, it remains central to Santhali literature, education, and cultural expression. The  metal composition  of the ₹100 coin will consist of a Quaternary Alloy, comprising 50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel, and 5% Zinc. This fundamental distinction must be clearly understood by collectors, authorities, and the public alike. The true value of a commemorative coin lies in its historical, cultural, and symbolic significance, not in the weight or prevailing market price of the metal used to strike it. For this reason, the intrinsic metal value of a commemorative coin should ideally remain limited, preferably around 30 to 40 percent of its issue price. Hyderabad Mint Commences Bookings for CPCL Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has started the bookings for the ₹60  commemorative coin  issued  to mark the  Diamond Jubilee of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited .  The bookings are open from today, February 4, 2026, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier on January 27, 2026, the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, released the ₹60 coin marking the sixty years of refining operations of  Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) at the India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 event held in Goa. The ₹60 coin is currently issued in a Proof Set with a Booklet and Cardboard (Kappa) Box packaging. The Proof Sets with Folder and MDF packaging, as well as UNC Sets with folder, may be introduced later. Punjab Govt to Celebrate 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji

The Government of Punjab will celebrate the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji on a grand scale through year-long events to be held from February 2026 to February 2027. The celebrations will be guided by the blessings and advice of saints, eminent personalities, scholars, and religious sects. Punjab Finance Minister Shri Harpal Singh Cheema announced that a commemorative coin dedicated to Sri Guru Ravidass Ji will also be released as part of these celebrations. The programme will commence on February 4, 2026, with the beginning of Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Khuralgarh Sahib and will conclude in February 2027. The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has started the bookings for the ₹50 and ₹100   commemorative coins  on  Sikkim's Statehood  and  Jammu–Srinagar Railway Line . The bookings are open from February 2, 2026, and it is subject to limited availability. The ₹50 coin was issued to mark  50 Glorious Years of Sikkim’s Statehood .
