The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s popular radio broadcast program ' Mann Ki Baat ' is completing its 100th episode on the 30th April 2023. A  Rs 100  commemorative coin  and a postage stamp was released today by  Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah at the 'Valedictory Session of National Conclave on Mann Ki Baat @100' event held at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Union Minister for Railways, Communication, Electronics and IT Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Shri Anurag Thakur were also present at the event. The "Beauty of 'Mann ki Baat' is that a political person like Shri Narendra Modi did not mention a single political issue in its 99 episodes", Shri Amit Shah said. NTR ₹100 Coin to be released on 28th April 2023

A grand event celebrating 100 years of Telugu icon Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao , fondly known in the industry as NTR, is all set to take place at Anumolu Gardens, Vijayawada on April 28, 2023. A commemorative coin of ₹100 denomination will be released to mark this special occasion. Shri N Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party, Superstar Rajinikanth, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Shri S. Venkatanarayana will be the chief guests for the event.  Shri Nandamuri Balakrishna, in a video, invited fans to come and be a part of the celebrations as well. New Possible Commemorative Coin: Cricket World Cup 2023

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, which will be the 13th edition of the Men’s Cricket World Cup, has been scheduled between 5 October 2023 and 19 November 2023. A possibility of a commemorative coin is likely to be issued as this will be the first ICC World Cup event completely hosted by India. The Cricket World Cup, officially known as ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, is the international championship of One Day International (ODI) cricket. The event is organised by the sport's governing body, the International Cricket Council (ICC), every four years, with preliminary qualification rounds leading up to a finals tournament. The tournament is one of the world's most viewed sporting events and is considered the "flagship event of the international cricket calendar" by the ICC. New Commemorative Coin: 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat

The Government of India will be issuing a Rs 100  commemorative coin  to mark the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat . The Ministry of Finance has issued the gazette notification today confirming the same. Mann Ki Baat is an Indian radio programme hosted by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in which he addresses the people of the nation on All India Radio, DD National and DD News. Since the first show on 3 October 2014, there have been 99 episodes. The 100th episode has will be aired on 30th April 2023.  The metal composition of the coin will be  Quaternary Alloy  (50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel and 5% Zinc). The weight of the coin will be 35 grams and 44 mm in diameter with 200 serrations at the edge. The description of the coin is as below. Obverse:   The face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar in the center with the legend "सत्यमेव जयते" inscribed  below, flanked  with the  word “भारत” and  "INDIA" at right and left periphery of the coin with

Hyderabad Mint opens booking for ₹50 Coin issued on 50 Years of Project Tiger

The Hyderabad Mint has opened the advanced booking of ₹50 commemorative coin in Proof set issued on 50 Years of Project Tiger from 17-April-2023 with limited stocks. The commemorative coin was released on 09-April-2023 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at Mysuru. The Proof Set is priced at ₹4380 for the Blister/Folder pack though the specifications hasn't been provided at the mint website. This is the first time, a commemorative coin is issued with Hyderabad Mint as primary mint. The commemorative coin is available at Hyderabad Mint Premises as well as at the India Govt. Mint official website . The Current and Upcoming Bookings section has been updated for your reference and information. 25-April-2023 Update:  The bookings for UNC Set has opened priced at ₹4050 for the Blister/Folder pack with limited stocks. 

Die-Varieties in Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Sets

The Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu commemorative coins with ₹500 and ₹10 were initially issued in Proof and UNC sets by Kolkata Mint and later ₹10 in UNC sets with Hyderabad Mint. Some die-varieties are found with all these sets and are shared below for your information and learning. The Kolkata Mint Proof Set are issued with two different reverse designs, one is the initial/original design and a later design. PM Modi releases ₹50 coin to commemorate 50 years of Project Tiger

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the programme ‘ Commemoration of 50 years of Project Tiger ’. A commemorative coin of  ₹50 was released on completion of 50 years of Project Tiger  organised at Karnataka State Open University, Mysuru. During the programme, the Prime Minister also released ‘Amrit Kaal' vision for tiger conservation, a summary report of 5th cycle of Management Effective Evaluation of Tiger Reserves, declare tiger numbers and release summary report of All India Tiger Estimation (5th cycle). In the morning, the Prime Minister visited 'Bandipur Tiger Reserve' and the Theppakadu Elephant camp in 'Mudumalai Tiger Reserve'.  The commemorative coin is minted by India Government Mint, Hyderabad. This coin became first commemorative coin featuring 'Tiger' with a wildlife theme in the history of Republic India coinage.

Mumbai Mint opens booking for ₹150 Shri Ram Chandra Ji Coin

The Mumbai Mint has opened the advanced booking of  ₹150  commemorative coin  in  Proof and UNC sets issued on  150th Birth Anniversary of Shri Ram Chandra Ji popularly known as Lalaji  from 04-April-2023 to 15-May-2023. The commemorative coin were released on 26-January-2023 by Shri Kamalesh Patel 'Daaji'  during the week-long  celebration of the anniversary of Lalaji at Hyderabad. The Proof Set is priced at ₹3820 and UNC Set at ₹3300 for the Blister/Folder pack. For the Wooden box pack, t he Proof Set is priced at ₹4275 and UNC Set at ₹3990. PM Narendra Modi releases ₹60 coin on Diamond Jubilee of CBI

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released the ₹60  commemorative coin , postage stamp and special cover to mark the  Diamond Jubilee of  Central Bureau of Investigation  (CBI) today at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. During the programme, an Investiture Ceremony for recipients of President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Gold Medal for Best Investigating Officers of CBI was held wherein Prime Minister conferred medals to the awardees.  Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (PP), Shri Ajit Kumar Doval, National Security Advisor, Shri Rajiv Gauba, Cabinet Secretary and Shri Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, Director of CBI were also present on this occasion. The commemorative coin is minted by India Government Mint, Mumbai and is the fourth commemorative coin released in 2023 after Shri Rama Chandra , National Cadet Corps , International Year of Millets .
