Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for India's G20 Presidency Coins

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has opened the bookings for the ₹75 and ₹100  commemorative coins  issued on the occasion of  India's G20 Presidency . The bookings are open from August 16, 2023, and it is subject to limited availability. The ₹75 and ₹100 commemorative coins are being offered in multiple collectible formats. Each coin is available individually in a Proof Set presented in a folder or blister pack. A dual-coin Proof Set containing both denominations is also available in two premium packaging variants: an MDF box and an HD Plastic Box. The individual Proof Set, which includes a single coin in folder or blister packaging, is priced at ₹3,343. The dual-coin Proof Set featuring both the ₹75 and ₹100 coins is priced at ₹7,145 in the MDF Box packaging and ₹6,963 in the HD Plastic Box packaging. PM Modi Releases ₹75 and ₹100 Coins on India's G20 Presidency

The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, released the ₹75 and ₹100 commemorative coins along with special postage stamps to mark India’s G20 Presidency , while inaugurating the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) complex at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on July 26, 2023. The Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, along with several other Union Ministers, government officials, and leading industry experts, was present on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister began with a poem capturing the nation’s renewed spirit, describing Bharat Mandapam as a symbol of India’s capability and willpower. He praised the Shramiks for their dedication and paid tribute to the martyrs on Kargil Vijay Diwas. New Commemorative Coin: G20 Summit 2023

The Government of India will issue  commemorative coins of ₹100 and ₹75 on occasion of India's G20 Presidency .  The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on July 24, 2023, confirming these coins. India holds the Presidency of the G20 from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023. As the nation ramps up its preparation to hold the summit in 2023. India will organise more than 200 events spread across major cities, including Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, etc., as part of the summit.  The theme for India's G20 Presidency is in sync with the key template of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s foreign policy - "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" or "One Earth-One Family-One Future". The metal composition of both the denominations of ₹100 and ₹75 coin will be Quaternary Alloy (50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel and 5% Zinc). A possibility of ₹100 and ₹75  commemorative coins  and postage stamps are more likely to be issued in 2023 on occasion of 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit which will take place on 9-10 September 2023 in New Delhi. The theme for India's G20 Presidency is in sync with the key template of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s foreign policy - "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" or "One Earth-One Family-One Future". India will hold the Presidency of the G20 from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023. As the nation ramps up its preparation to hold the summit in 2023.
