The Government of India will issue a ₹60  commemorative coin  to mark the  Diamond Jubilee (60 Years) of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on January 16, 2026, confirming this coin. Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) is one of India’s major public sector oil refining companies and a key subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation Limited. Established in 1965 as Madras Refineries Limited, the company operates large refining facilities in Tamil Nadu, primarily at Manali near Chennai. The Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, will unveil a ₹100 coloured commemorative coin and a postage stamp to mark 100 years of Electrification in Indian Railways , while he confer the 70th Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar on selected railway personnel on January 9, 2026, at the India International Convention & Expo Centre (Yashobhoomi), Dwarka, New Delhi.
