Mumbai Mint Opens Bookings for CBI and AKAM Coins Set

The India Government Mint in Mumbai has started accepting bookings for the commemorative coin of ₹60 issued to honor the Central Bureau of Investigation and  Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav coin series , featuring denominations of ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, ₹10, and ₹20. The booking period began on September 15, 2023, and is subject to limited availability. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) coins are issued in Proof and UNC sets in Folder/Blister packages and Proof Sets with MDF Boxes. The ₹60 coin issued in the Folder/Blister packaging within the Proof Set is priced at ₹3,865, while the UNC Set is priced at ₹3,345. Additionally, for those interested in the Proof Set with the MDF/Wooden Box, it's available at ₹4,320. The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav coins are available in two packaging options: Acrylic and Folder/Blister packages. The Acrylic Set is priced at ₹720, while the Folder/Blister Set is priced at ₹645. PM Narendra Modi releases ₹60 coin on Diamond Jubilee of CBI

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released the ₹60  commemorative coin , postage stamp and special cover to mark the  Diamond Jubilee of  Central Bureau of Investigation  (CBI) today at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. During the programme, an Investiture Ceremony for recipients of President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Gold Medal for Best Investigating Officers of CBI was held wherein Prime Minister conferred medals to the awardees.  Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (PP), Shri Ajit Kumar Doval, National Security Advisor, Shri Rajiv Gauba, Cabinet Secretary and Shri Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, Director of CBI were also present on this occasion. The commemorative coin is minted by India Government Mint, Mumbai and is the fourth commemorative coin released in 2023 after Shri Rama Chandra , National Cadet Corps , International Year of Millets .

PM Narendra Modi to release ₹60 coin to mark Diamond Jubilee of CBI

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be releasing the ₹60  commemorative coin  to mark the  Diamond Jubilee of  Central Bureau of Investigation  (CBI) on April 3rd 2023, 12 PM onwards at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Shri Amit Shah,  Union Home Minister & Minister of Co-Operation and Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (PP) will also mark their presence on this occasion. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is the premier investigating agency of India formed on 1 April 1963 through a Home Ministry resolution. It operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.  The Ministry of Finance issued the gazette notification on March 29th 2023 confirming the commemorative coin. This release will make the third commemorative coin in ₹60 denomination after 60 years of India Govt Mint, Kolkata  in 2012 and 60 years of Coir Board  in 2014.

The Government of India will be issuing a Rs 60  commemorative coin  to mark the  Diamond Jubilee of  Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The Ministry of Finance has issued the gazette notification today confirming the same. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is the premier investigating agency of India formed on 1 April 1963 through a Home Ministry resolution. It operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. Originally set up to investigate bribery and governmental corruption, in 1965 it received expanded jurisdiction to investigate breaches of central laws enforceable by the Government of India, multi-state organised crime, multi-agency or international cases. The agency has been known to investigate several economic crimes, special crimes, cases of corruption and other cases. A  commemorative coin  of ₹60 is more likely to be issued this year 2023 on occasion of 60 years of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Shri Ajay Agarwal, Director (Finance) of Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India (SPMCIL) hinted about the issue of the commemorative coin in an interview at World Money Fair 3-5 Feb 2023, Berlin, Germany. He also confirmed the commemorative coin on G20 Summit 2023 to be released in the last week of February 2023.
