The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has opened bookings for special gold and silver souvenir tokens to mark the upcoming festivals of Raksha Bandhan , Onam , and Shri Krishna Janmashtami . The bookings commenced on August 5, 2023, and will remain open subject to limited availability. For Onam and Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the Mint has introduced two options: a 5-gram gold token and a 20-gram silver token. The gold token is priced at ₹34,089.34, while the silver token is available for ₹1,959.86. The Raksha Bandhan souvenir is a specially designed coloured silver token, weighing 40 grams and priced at ₹4,291.55. Each souvenir comes in an elegantly designed folder/blister pack, making it an ideal gifting option for the festive season. The buyers are advised that prices are subject to revision based on prevailing bullion rates, and the prices mentioned above are as of August 6, 2023.
