The Hon’ble Minister of State - Finance and Corporate Affairs, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur released the commemorative coin marking ' 125th Departure Anniversary of Sri Shyamacharan Lahiree Mahasaya ' at a virtual ceremony on Saturday. In adherence to COVID guidelines, the release of commemorative coins this year predominantly takes place through virtual ceremonies. This shift to virtual platforms reflects the global efforts to ensure safety during the ongoing pandemic.  This marks the third commemorative coin released in October and in the year 2020. The gazette notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance on August 17, 2020.

The India Government Mint, Mumbai Mint has opened the bookings for the ₹250 commemorative coin issued to mark  250th Session of Rajya Sabha . The bookings are open from October 14, 2020, to November 27, 2020, although counter sales began in January 2020. The ₹250 coin in the Proof Set is priced at ₹4,390, while the UNC Set is available at ₹3,980 for the Folder/Blister package. For those interested in the MDF Box, it is priced at ₹5,580 for the Proof Set and ₹5,170 for the UNC Set.
