The Government of India will issue a ₹60  commemorative coin  to mark the  Diamond Jubilee (60 Years) of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on January 16, 2026, confirming this coin. Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) is one of India’s major public sector oil refining companies and a key subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation Limited. Established in 1965 as Madras Refineries Limited, the company operates large refining facilities in Tamil Nadu, primarily at Manali near Chennai.
