The Government of India will issue a ₹100 commemorative coin to mark the Birth Centenary of  H.H. Srimad Sudhindra Theertha Swamiji . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on September 25, 2026, confirming this coin. Srimad Sudhindra Theertha Swamiji was the twentieth Mathadhipati of Shri Kashi Math Samsthan and a highly respected spiritual leader of the Gowda Saraswat Brahmin community. Born on March 31, 1926, at Ernakulam, he was initiated into Sanyasa in 1944 by his Guru, Shrimath Sukrathindra Theertha Swamiji. He became the Mathadhipati in 1949 and guided the Math for nearly seven decades, dedicating his life to spirituality, education, social welfare and the preservation of cultural traditions. He attained Mahasamadhi at Haridwar on January 17, 2016. The metal composition of the ₹100 coin will consist of Pure Silver (99.9%). Hyderabad Mint Commences Bookings for SRCC Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has commenced the bookings for the ₹100 commemorative coin issued to mark  Centenary Year of Shri Ram College of Commerce . The bookings are open from September 7, 2026, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier, on September 5, 2026, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, released the ₹100 commemorative coin to mark the occasion, during his visit to the college campus in New Delhi on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. The release ceremony was attended by the Union Minister of Education, Shri Pralhad Joshi; Shri Ajay S. Shriram, Chairman, SRCC Governing Body; Prof. Simrit Kaur, Principal, SRCC; Shri Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, India TV; and other distinguished guests. The Government of India will issue a ₹100 commemorative coin  as part of the Centenary Celebration of  Mahanayak Uttam Kumar . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on September 3, 2026, confirming this coin. Mahanayak Uttam Kumar, born Arun Kumar Chatterjee on September 3, 1926, was one of the most celebrated actors in the history of Indian cinema. Revered as the “Mahanayak” of Bengali cinema, he captivated audiences with his remarkable acting, charismatic screen presence and versatility. His unforgettable partnership with Suchitra Sen created some of the most iconic films of Bengali cinema. With classics such as Saptapadi, Harano Sur, Nayak and Antony Firingee, Uttam Kumar left an enduring legacy that continues to inspire generations.
