Mumbai Mint Opens Bookings for CBI and AKAM Coins Set

The India Government Mint in Mumbai has started accepting bookings for the commemorative coin of ₹60 issued to honor the Central Bureau of Investigation and  Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav coin series , featuring denominations of ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, ₹10, and ₹20. The booking period began on September 15, 2023, and is subject to limited availability. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) coins are issued in Proof and UNC sets in Folder/Blister packages and Proof Sets with MDF Boxes. The ₹60 coin issued in the Folder/Blister packaging within the Proof Set is priced at ₹3,865, while the UNC Set is priced at ₹3,345. Additionally, for those interested in the Proof Set with the MDF/Wooden Box, it's available at ₹4,320. The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav coins are available in two packaging options: Acrylic and Folder/Blister packages. The Acrylic Set is priced at ₹720, while the Folder/Blister Set is priced at ₹645. Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for G20 Coins

The India Government Mint, Kolkata has opened the bookings for  ₹75 and ₹100  commemorative coins  issued on occasion of  India's G20 Presidency  in  Proof and UNC sets with Folder/Blister package and Proof Sets with MDF Boxes  from 16-August-2023 with limited quantity. The  ₹75 and  ₹100 Proof set in MDF Box is priced at ₹7145, while the Proof Set in HD Plastic Box is priced at ₹6963. The  ₹75 and  ₹100 in Folder/Blister package comes only in Single Coin Proof Set priced at ₹3343 each. The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released the commemorative coins and postage stamps on India's G20 Presidency while inaugurating the IECC (International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre) in Pragati Maidan, Delhi on 26-July-2023. PM Modi releases ₹75 and ₹100 coins on India's G20 Presidency

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released the commemorative coins of ₹75 and ₹100 along with the postage stamps on  India's G20 Presidency   while inaugurating the IECC (International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre) Complex in Pragati Maidan, Delhi. The newly developed IECC complex at Pragati Maidan comprises of multiple state-of-the-art facilities including Convention Centre, Exhibition halls, amphitheaters etc. The G20 Leaders declaration will be also adopted at the conclusion of the New Delhi Summit, stating the leaders commitment towards the priorities discussed and agreed upon during the respective ministerial and working group meetings. The ₹75 and ₹100 commemorative coins released today are minted by India Government Mint, Kolkata. New Possible Coin: Central Bureau of Investigation

A  commemorative coin  of ₹60 is more likely to be issued this year 2023 on occasion of 60 years of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Shri Ajay Agarwal, Director (Finance) of Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India (SPMCIL) hinted about the issue of the commemorative coin in an interview at World Money Fair 3-5 Feb 2023, Berlin, Germany. He also confirmed the commemorative coin on G20 Summit 2023 to be released in the last week of February 2023. New Possible Commemorative Coin: G20 Summit 2023

A possibility of ₹100 and ₹75  commemorative coins  and postage stamps are more likely to be issued in 2023 on occasion of 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit which will take place on 9-10 September 2023 in New Delhi. The theme for India's G20 Presidency is in sync with the key template of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s foreign policy - "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" or "One Earth-One Family-One Future". India will hold the Presidency of the G20 from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023. As the nation ramps up its preparation to hold the summit in 2023. India will organise more than 200 events spread across major cities, including Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, etc., as part of the summit.  Earlier, Countries like China, France and Italy have issued commemorative coins at their G20 Presidencies.  Govt. of India has also issued commemorative coins like 3rd India Africa Summit in 2015, 90th Interpol General Assembly in 2022 to name a few.
