Errors in Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Prabhupad Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has commenced dispatching of the ₹150 commemorative coin issued to celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad, with bookings opening on March 9, 2024.

Regrettably, both English and Hindi descriptions inside the folder package contain grammatical errors and inaccuracies. This oversight reflects a concerning lack of attention to detail and quality assurance on the part of the mint.

This isn't the first occurrence; there have been numerous instances in the past where errors have occurred in packaging. Some issues include coins arriving with fingerprints, deep scratches, improper gumming between the blister inside the folder, dust particles on the coin, and low-quality capsules.

It's disheartening to note that the mint appears to be neglecting the concerns of its customers or collectors, continuing to make the same mistakes without implementing necessary improvements. Quality assurance should be a top priority, particularly when producing commemorative coins for significant events. Failure to address these issues not only reflects poorly on the mint domestically but also tarnishes the country's image internationally.
