Shri Nitin Gadkari Releases ₹100 Coin on Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi
The Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, Shri Nitin Gadkari, released the ₹100 commemorative coin to mark the Birth Centenary of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi today, October 14, 2024, at the National Museum Auditorium, Janpath, New Delhi.
The Former Union Minister Shri Anil Kumar Shastri was the special guest at the event, along with other dignitaries.
Shri Nitin Gadkari greeted Mata Ji with folded hands and received her blessings on this auspicious occasion. In his address, he highlighted the significance of HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Ji’s teachings, emphasizing her lifelong dedication to uplifting humanity through the practice of Sahaja Yoga and her message of universal love. He mentioned that the release of this ₹100 commemorative coin is a symbol of appreciation for her profound impact on spiritual and cultural values.
He further emphasized the uniqueness of spiritual science, acknowledging that, while he is not an expert and spends most of his time in social work, he recognizes that India’s history, culture, and heritage continue to fascinate the world. He added that while we may not fully grasp the significance of this while living in India, we begin to appreciate it more once we step outside.
Mata Ji began Sahaja Yoga in 1975 in Nargol, Gujarat. Sahaja Yoga offers extraordinary practices that bring about a transformation by harmonizing the soul and body. Many of you have experienced this, deepening your faith in Mata Ji and Sahaja Yoga, fostering a strong attraction toward her.
He concluded with a reflection on ethics, quoting a philosopher who said that ethics and economy are important. He noted that India has a vast wealth of ethical knowledge and, in the future, knowledge will be power. He stressed that material progress, driven by innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, research, and practical application, is vital, and the conversion of knowledge into wealth will be essential for future progress and development.
This release marks the 16th commemorative coin for the year 2024, minted by the India Government Mint, Hyderabad. The bookings are expected to open soon on the India Government Mint's website and will be updated in the current and upcoming bookings section. However, for early collectors, the ₹100 coin is currently available on the Sahaja Yoga website.
