Mumbai Mint Opens Bookings for Swaminarayan Mandir and SBI Coins

The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has commenced bookings for commemorative coins of the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Vadtal and the State Bank of India Mumbai Main Branch. The bookings began today, January 9, 2025, and are available in limited quantities.

The ₹200 coin was issued to mark the 200th Anniversary of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Vadtaldham, and the ₹100 coin was issued to celebrate the Centenary Year of SBI’s Mumbai Main Branch. Both coins are available in Proof and UNC sets, packaged in Folder or Blister options. Additionally, they are offered in a Proof Set with an MDF or Wooden Box package.

The ₹200 Shree Swaminarayan Mandir coin in Folder or Blister packaging is priced at ₹6,620 for the Proof Set and ₹6,195 for the UNC Set. The Proof Set with the MDF or Wooden Box is priced at ₹6,870.

The ₹100 SBI Mumbai Main Branch coin in Folder or Blister packaging is priced at ₹3,555 for the Proof Set and ₹3,375 for the UNC Set. The Proof Set with the MDF or Wooden Box is priced at ₹3,765.

It's worth noting that the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir coin is crafted with pure silver (99.9%) with a weight of 40 grams, a diameter of 44 mm, and feature 200 serrations along the edge. However, the SBI Mumbai Main Brach coin is crafted with Quaternary alloy with a weight of 35 grams, a diameter of 44 mm, and feature 200 serrations along the edge.
