2023 - First Numismatic Exhibit Showcasing Proof and UNC Sets

The Republic of India Proof and UNC Coin Sets were showcased at the 14th National Numismatic Exhibition (NNE), held from February 24th to 26th, 2023, at Shikshak Sadan, KG Road, opposite Kaveri Bhavan, Nagarathpete, Majestic, Bengaluru – 560002. Presenting a selection of Proof and UNC Coin Sets from the Republic of India collection at this prestigious numismatic exhibition was a tremendous privilege and a memorable experience.

The display featured selected Proof Coin Sets and UNC Coin Sets issued during the Republic of India period, along with details about their respective commemorative coin releases. The exhibit provided an opportunity to showcase the evolution of Indian commemorative coinage and the different coin sets issued by the Government of India for collectors.

The National Numismatic Exhibition (NNE), organised by Marudhar Arts, one of India’s leading numismatic auction houses, is an important annual event for the Indian numismatic community. Since its inception in 2011, the exhibition has brought together coin collectors, banknote collectors, dealers, researchers, and enthusiasts from across India. The event features displays of coins, paper money, and philatelic material, along with live auctions and academic sessions. Bengaluru, widely known as India’s IT capital, has hosted this prominent numismatic event since its beginning.

The opportunity to present a selection of Republic of India Proof and UNC Coin Sets, together with their release details and numismatic significance, during the three-day National Numismatic Exhibition was particularly significant. Such exhibitions provide collectors and visitors with an opportunity to learn about Indian coins, commemorative issues, minting history, and the development of modern Indian coinage.

The honour of presenting some of the Proof and UNC coin sets of the Republic of India, along with their release details, during this three-day exhibition is truly significant.

Kolkata Mint Issues Make in India Special Box Set for Bookings

The India Government Mint, Kolkata has opened bookings for a special box set issued to mark the 10th Anniversary of Make in India . The bookings commenced on August 4, 2026, and the set is being offered in limited quantities. The Make in India ₹100  coloured commemorative coin , India's first-ever coloured coin, was released by the Hon'ble Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, on September 20, 2025, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the flagship Make in India initiative.
