2024 - 3rd Numismatic Exhibit: Proof and UNC Sets

It was an immense privilege to exhibit a selection of my Proof and UNC coin sets from the Republic of India collection at the 15th National Numismatic Exhibition, held from February 23rd to 25th, 2024, at Shikshak Sadan, KG Road, Opp Kaveri Bhavan, Nagarathpete, Majestic, Bengaluru 560002.

The National Numismatic Exhibition (NNE), organized by Marudhar Arts, India's Leading Numismatic Auction House, serves as an annual cornerstone event in India. This comprehensive exhibition encompasses coins, paper money, and philately, featuring live auctions and academic sessions. It has been a prominent fixture in the IT Capital since its inception in 2011.

The opportunity to showcase a selection of Proof and UNC coin sets from the Republic of India, along with their release details, during this three-day exhibition is indeed significant. Additionally, the exhibition allowed me to demonstrate the use of acrylic cases for preserving coin sets during display, and I received valuable opinions and insights from fellow collectors and senior numismatists.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Rajendra Maru and the entire Marudhar Arts team for generously affording me the chance to exhibit my collections. This experience has not only been personally fulfilling but has also ignited a heightened enthusiasm for my ongoing participation in upcoming exhibitions.

RBI Coin Sets Now Available at India Govt Mint's Delhi Counter

The ₹90  commemorative coin  issued to celebrate the  90 Years of Reserve Bank of India  (RBI) is now available at the Sales Counter at India Government Mint's Corporate Office in New Delhi. The ₹90 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹4950 as of April 18, 2024. However, online bookings for the commemorative coin have not yet begun, and there may be a difference in online pricing. It's important to note that the  metal composition  of this ₹90 coin is Pure Silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams with a diameter of 44 mm. It also features 200 serrations along the edge. The ₹90 is minted by India Government Mint, Kolkata. The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on March 19, 2024, confirming this coin.
