2022 - Diwali Peacock Silver | Mint Souvenir Token

A silver souvenir token was issued with a different design from the gold coin in 2022 to mark the occasion of Diwali (Deepavali).

Diwali, Dewali, Deepavali, or Divali, also known as the Festival of Lights is a Hindu religious festival and one of the most important festivals within Hinduism. It generally lasts five days, and is celebrated during the Hindu lunisolar months of Ashwayuja and Kartika. PM Modi Releases ₹300 Coin on Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar

The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, released a ₹300 commemorative coin and a postage stamp to mark the 300th Birth Anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar today, May 31, 2025, during his participation in the Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mohan Yadav, Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mangubhai Patel, along with other ministers and distinguished dignitaries. The Prime Minister also presented the National Devi Ahilyabai Award to a woman artist in recognition of her contributions to tribal, folk, and traditional arts.
