Caution: Beware of Counterfeit Coin Dealers Peddling Fake Coins

Image
Unethical individuals are engaging in fraudulent activities by selling counterfeit coins and tokens at exorbitant prices on well-known e-commerce platforms such as Shopclues. Notably, fake ₹1000 coins featuring Shri Jagannath Nabakalebara and Brihadeeswarar Temple are being offered for sale at prices exceeding ₹4000. Instead of "Jagannath," it is spelled as "Jagganath" on the obverse of the Brihadeeswarar Temple coin. The Shri Jagganath Nabakalebara coin features the rupee symbol on the obverse. Several fraudulent sellers are exploiting new coin collectors, causing innocent individuals to lose their hard-earned money and interest in Indian Numismatics. The India Government Mint issues commemorative coins in UNC and Proof Sets, which can be purchased through their official website at SPMCIL (Security Printing & Minting Corporation of India Ltd). Additionally, these coins are available at reputable numismatic stores and auction houses.
