The Ministry of Finance has issued a gazette notification on October 16, 2019, announcing changes to the inscription on the ₹550 commemorative coin that is to be released in honor of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji . This update follows an earlier notification dated June 3, 2019, regarding the issuance of the coin. In the original notification, the reverse side of the coin featured the inscription "श्री गुरु नानक देव जी का 550वां प्रकाश उत्सव" in Devanagari script and "550th Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji" in English. These inscriptions were intended to commemorate the 550th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.   The recent notification introduced a change, replacing the words "Prakash Utsav of Shri" with "Prakash Purab of Sri" wherever they occur.
