Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and P C Mahalonobis Coins

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has opened bookings for commemorative coins in Proof and UNC sets issued to mark the '500th Birth Anniversary of Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's Coming to Vrindavan' and '125th Birth Anniversary of Prasanta Chandra Mahalonabis'. The bookings are open for a period of 3 months from December 10, 2018, to March 11, 2019.

The Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu set includes two coins, one of ₹500 and the other of ₹10. The Proof Coin Set is priced at ₹3802, while the UNC Set is priced at ₹3277. For the P C Mahalonabis set, which includes two coins of ₹125 and ₹5, the Proof Coin Set is priced at ₹3798, and the UNC set is priced at ₹3274.

Additionally, the Kolkata Mint has reopened bookings for commemorative coins issued for Shrimad Rajchandra, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, Tatya Tope, and Biju Patnaik. 

The rebooking prices for Shrimad Rajchandra and Tatya Tope are ₹3922 for the Proof Set and ₹3318 for the UNC Set. For Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Biju Patnaik, the rebooking prices are ₹3919 for the Proof Set and ₹3314 for the UNC sets.

RBI Coin Sets Now Available at India Govt Mint's Delhi Counter

The ₹90  commemorative coin  issued to celebrate the  90 Years of Reserve Bank of India  (RBI) is now available at the Sales Counter at India Government Mint's Corporate Office in New Delhi. The ₹90 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹4950 as of April 18, 2024. However, online bookings for the commemorative coin have not yet begun, and there may be a difference in online pricing. It's important to note that the  metal composition  of this ₹90 coin is Pure Silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams with a diameter of 44 mm. It also features 200 serrations along the edge. The ₹90 is minted by India Government Mint, Kolkata.
