Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Mahaprabhu and Mahalonobis Coins
The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has opened bookings for the commemorative coin sets issued in honour of Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s Coming to Vrindavan and Prasanta Chandra Mahalonabis. The booking window will remain open for approximately three months, beginning on December 10, 2018, and closing on March 11, 2019.
Both themes are available in Proof and Uncirculated (UNC) versions, each presented in an attractive Folder or Blister pack, ensuring safety and collectible value.
The Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu set includes two coins—₹500 and ₹10. The Proof Set is priced at ₹3,802, while the UNC Set is priced at ₹3,277.
The Prasanta Chandra Mahalonabis set also comprises two coins—₹125 and ₹5. The Proof Set is priced at ₹3,798, and the UNC Set is priced at ₹3,274.
In addition to these new themes, several previously released commemorative sets have been reopened for booking. These include themes of Shrimad Rajchandra, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, Tatya Tope, and Biju Patnaik.
The re-booking prices for Shrimad Rajchandra and Tatya Tope are ₹3,922 for the Proof Set and ₹3,318 for the UNC Set.
For Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Biju Patnaik, the prices are ₹3,919 for the Proof Set and ₹3,314 for the UNC Set.
