The Government of India will be issuing a  Rs 100 commemorative coin to celebrate the Birth Centenary of Shri Jawaharlal Darda . A gazette notification has been issued on April 26, 2022, confirming the same. Shri. Jawaharlal A. Darda (Babuji) was a veteran Indian freedom fighter and a dedicated politician of Indian National Congress INC. He was the Founder Editor of Lokmat group of newspapers (now Lokmat Media). He was a well-known Journalist and a Prominent Politician of his time. The metal composition of the coin will be  Quaternary Alloy  (50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel and 5% Zinc). The weight of the coin will be 35 grams and 44 mm in diameter with 200 serrations at the edge. The Ministry of Finance issued the gazette notification on July 22, 2022, regarding the issuance of a commemorative coin to mark the ' Centenary Year of the University of Delhi .' In March 2022, Vice-Chancellor Shri Yogesh Singh had hinted at the issuance of a commemorative coin and postage stamp. The metal composition of the coin will be  Quaternary Alloy  (50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel and 5% Zinc).
