AIRRBEA Proposes Commemorative Coin for Golden Jubilee of RRB
The Golden Jubilee of the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) marks 50 years of dedicated service to rural India. The All India Regional Rural Bank Employees Association (AIRRBEA) has requested the release of a commemorative coin and postal stamp to honour RRBs’ contribution to financial inclusion and rural development. AIRRBEA has formally written to the Hon’ble Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, on September 25, 2025, seeking the issuance of a commemorative coin and a postal stamp. Since October 2, 2024, the Association has been actively organising seminars, meetings, and functions as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations. The formal inauguration was held at Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, and was graced by Union Minister Shri Ram Mohan Naidu. In addition, AIRRBEA’s 15th All India Conference took place in February 2025 at Ballari, Karnataka, with the primary theme centered on celebrating 50 years of RRBs.
