Mumbai Mint Issues ₹100 Coin on RSS in Kappa Box Package

The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has commenced bookings for the ₹100 commemorative coin issued to mark 100 Years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The primary mint for this commemorative coin is the India Government Mint, Kolkata. Due to the high demand for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh coin from collectors, enthusiasts, RSS swayamsevaks, and supporters, this initiative might have been undertaken to cater to broader interest and ensure wider availability. Earlier, on October 7, 2025, the India Government Mint, Kolkata, commenced bookings for the ₹100 Proof Set at an initial price of ₹8,410, which was later revised to ₹10,212 and further increased to ₹10,788 due to the sharp rise in silver prices. The ₹100 coin is currently available in the Proof Set, packaged in a Kappa Box. It remains to be seen whether the Mumbai Mint will also issue the UNC Set or the Proof Set in an MDF box. Kolkata Mint Commences Bookings for RSS Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has commenced the bookings for the ₹100  commemorative coin  issued to mark the 100 Years of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The bookings are open from October 7, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier, on October 1, 2025, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled the commemorative coin along with a special postal stamp to mark the event at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. The ₹100 coin is currently available in the Proof Set, packaged with a booklet pack. It remains to be seen whether the Mint will also issue the UNC Set with a booklet pack or the Proof Set with an MDF box.  The ₹100 coin is priced at ₹8,410 for the Proof Set, which comes packaged with a booklet pack. This commemorative coin is expected to be highly sought after as it marks a historic milestone in Indian coinage. The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled the ₹100 commemorative coin along with a special postal stamp to mark the Centenary Celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on October 1, 2025, at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. The occasion was graced by RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Dattatreya Hosabale, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Rekha Gupta. The Government of India will issue a ₹100  commemorative coin  to mark the Centenary Celebrations of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on September 30, 2025, confirming this coin. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is a voluntary cultural organization founded in 1925 by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur. It promotes the values of discipline, selfless service, and national unity, with the vision of strengthening Indian society based on cultural and traditional ideals. The RSS conducts daily shakhas (local gatherings) where physical training, character building, and community service are emphasized. Over the decades, it has played a significant role in various social service activities, disaster relief, and nation-building initiatives.
