Deputy CM of Karnataka Unveils ₹100 Coin on Karnataka Bank

The Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri D. K. Shivakumar, unveiled the ₹100 commemorative coin and postage stamp while participating in the 100th Foundation Day Celebrations of Karnataka Bank at TMA Pai Convention Centre, Mangaluru, on February 18, 2024.

The Attorney General of India, Shri R. Venkataramani, Chief Postmaster General of Karnataka Circle, Shri S Rajendra Kumar, Managing Director & CEO of Karnataka Bank, Shri Srikrishnan Hari Hara Sarma, and Chairman of Karnataka Bank, Shri P Pradeep Kumar, among other dignitaries, graced this significant occasion with their presence.

During his address at the event, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed, "It is a matter of joy that Karnataka Bank, a source of pride for both the coastal region and the nation, is commemorating its centenary today. This bank, which has established a distinctive presence in the banking sector, has completed a century of delivering excellent services to the people. The remarkable growth of this bank serves as evidence that success is achievable through diligent effort. Karnataka Bank has earned the trust of the people by expanding its operations across the country. Wishing Karnataka Bank continued success in providing exemplary service, I hope it continues to thrive and achieve even greater heights."

The non-attendance of the Minister of Finance, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister Shri Prahlad Joshi, and Speaker Shri U. T. Khader at this significant occasion was acknowledged, as conveyed by Shri Srikrishnan Hari Hara Sarma, attributing it to their last-minute commitments.
