The India Government Mint in Kolkata is now accepting bookings for the ₹1000 commemorative coin, released to celebrate the 'Khartargachha Sahastrabdi,' which marks the completion of 1000 years since its foundation by Jaincharya Shri Jineshwar Suri. The booking window opened on February 01, 2024, and availability is limited.
The ₹1000 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, carries a price of ₹5,336. The UNC Set, has not opened for booking yet. Additionally, the Proof Set, which includes an MDF/Wooden Box, is also awaiting availability for booking.
The ₹1000 coin is crafted from Pure Silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams, with a diameter of 44 mm and adorned with 200 serrations along the edge.

This marks the third instance of a ₹1000 denomination commemorative coin, succeeding the releases of the '1000 Years of Brihadeeswarar Temple, Thanjavur' in 2010 and 'Shri Jagannath Nabakalebara' in 2018.
