Over the past decade, Make in India has transformed the country into a global hub for manufacturing, design, and innovation. The PLI scheme, with an outlay of ₹1.97 lakh crore, has attracted investments worth ₹1.88 lakh crore, creating over 12 lakh jobs across 14 sectors. India has also become the world’s second-largest mobile phone manufacturer, with 99% of smartphones made domestically.

India is also moving towards manufacturing its first-ever 2 nm semiconductor chip, bolstering capabilities in AI, national security, and space.

Over the last ten years, Make in India has reignited global confidence, transforming India into a resilient, self-reliant, and competitive economy, and laying the foundation for Viksit Bharat@2047.
