Hyderabad Mint to Open Bookings for N T Rama Rao Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, will be opening the bookings for the ₹100  commemorative coin  issued to mark the  Birth Centennial Year of Shri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao . The bookings will be opened from August 29, 2023, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier in the day, the Hon'ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, released the ₹100 coin to mark the occasion at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi with extended invitations to only 100 guests for the ceremony, including members of NTR’s family. The ₹100 commemorative coin is available in both Proof and UNC sets, presented in Folder/Blister packaging with two colour variants and corresponding booklets. These packages come in brown and yellow themes, and each offers an option of either a Telugu–English or Hindi–English printed booklet. The Hon'ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, released the ₹100 commemorative coin to mark the Birth Centennial Year of Shri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao , popularly known as NTR today, on August 28, 2023 at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. The Rashtrapati Bhavan extended invitations to only 100 guests for the ceremony, including members of NTR’s family. Speaking on the occasion, the President said that the late Shri N.T. Rama Rao made an indelible contribution to Indian cinema and cultural heritage through his remarkable body of work in Telugu films. The Kolkata Mint and Hyderabad Mint have opened bookings for souvenir tokens to mark the upcoming festivals of Raksha Bandhan, Onam, and Shri Krishna Janmashtami. The bookings began on August 18, 2023, and are subject to limited availability. The Kolkata Mint has released Raksha Bandhan souvenirs in two silver variants—priced at ₹4,119 for the 50-gram token and ₹1,765 for the 20-gram token. Two gold variants are also available, priced at ₹32,348 for the 5-gram token and ₹16,239 for the 2.5-gram token, each offered in distinct designs. For Janmashtami, the Kolkata Mint has introduced silver souvenirs priced at ₹4,119 for the 50-gram token and ₹1,765 for the 20-gram token, along with a 5-gram gold token priced at ₹32,348. Govt to Issue ₹1000 Coin on Khartargachha Sahastrabdi Mahotsav

The Government of India has approved the issuance of a ₹1000 commemorative coin to mark the 1000th year celebration of the Shvetambara Khartargachha Sangh . Shri Om Prakash Sakhlecha, Cabinet Minister for MSME and the Science & Technology Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, shared the official communication on social media, expressing his gratitude to Shri Pankaj Chaudhary, Minister of State for Finance, and to the Government of India on behalf of the Jain community. He noted that the commemorative coin will not only form an integral part of the millennium celebrations but will also serve as an inspiration, reminding people of the community’s rich historical, cultural, and religious heritage. Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for India's G20 Presidency Coins

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has opened the bookings for the ₹75 and ₹100  commemorative coins  issued on the occasion of  India's G20 Presidency . The bookings are open from August 16, 2023, and it is subject to limited availability. The ₹75 and ₹100 commemorative coins are being offered in multiple collectible formats. Each coin is available individually in a Proof Set presented in a folder or blister pack. A dual-coin Proof Set containing both denominations is also available in two premium packaging variants: an MDF box and an HD Plastic Box. The individual Proof Set, which includes a single coin in folder or blister packaging, is priced at ₹3,343. The dual-coin Proof Set featuring both the ₹75 and ₹100 coins is priced at ₹7,145 in the MDF Box packaging and ₹6,963 in the HD Plastic Box packaging. The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has opened bookings for special gold and silver souvenir tokens to mark the upcoming festivals of Raksha Bandhan , Onam , and Shri Krishna Janmashtami . The bookings commenced on August 5, 2023, and will remain open subject to limited availability. For Onam and Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the Mint has introduced two options: a 5-gram gold token and a 20-gram silver token. The gold token is priced at ₹34,089.34, while the silver token is available for ₹1,959.86. The Raksha Bandhan souvenir is a specially designed coloured silver token, weighing 40 grams and priced at ₹4,291.55. Each souvenir comes in an elegantly designed folder/blister pack, making it an ideal gifting option for the festive season.
