1987 - New Steel Coins of 10 Paise

The new pattern coins of 10 Paise were minted in 1987. If taken in conjunction with the 1986 pattern coins, the 25 Paise and the 50 Paise designs were approved.

These were also listed in Todywalla Auctions in 2015 (Auction 100, Lot No: 166) along with the 1986 pattern coins, and was sold for around Rs 3.3 lakhs. 

The set shows 2 different coins of 10 Paise. The one with the "Bustard Bird" design seems rejected and the simple 10 paise design was approved.

Needless to say, The first Stainless Steel 10 Paise coins were issued in 1988.

The Government of India will issue a ₹100  commemorative coin  to mark the  Centenary Year of Andhra University . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on April 22, 2026, confirming this coin. Hyderabad Mint Begins Bookings for Andhra University Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has commenced the bookings for the ₹100  commemorative coin  issued to mark the  Centenary Year of Andhra University . The bookings are open from April 28, 2026, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier, on April 27, 2026,  the Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, unveiled the  ₹100 coin  to mark the occasion .  The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Governor Shri S. Abdul Nazeer, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri K. Ram Mohan Naidu, former Vice President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Governor of Odisha Dr. K.
