2014 - Rs 2 with Hole Experimental Coin

The Rs 2 stainless steel pattern coin of 2014 with a hole was listed on Classical Numismatic Gallery Auction 29 (Lot No: 557).

The coin looked odd in the Republic India coinage as it was the first time a coin was seen with a hole in the middle and floral design at the reverse.

It's difficult to say if this is indeed pattern coin or mere fiction as from the strike the coin looks genuine.

However, the so called coin went at ₹40,000 at the auction and might be available with few select dealers.
