The Government of India will issue a ₹50  commemorative coin  to mark 50 Years of NHPC Limited . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on November 4, 2025, confirming this coin. NHPC Limited, formerly known as the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation, is a leading public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. Established in 1975, it plays a pivotal role in harnessing the country’s vast hydroelectric potential and promoting renewable energy. Headquartered in Faridabad, NHPC has developed numerous hydropower projects across India and has also diversified into solar and wind energy. The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has opened the bookings for  commemorative coins  of  Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and the Arya Samaj . The bookings are open from October 31, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier in the day, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, released commemorative coins — ₹200 to mark the 200th Birth Anniversary of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and ₹150 to mark  150 years of the Arya Samaj ’s remarkable service to society at Rohini, New Delhi.
