PM Modi Releases ₹200 and ₹150 Coins at International Aryan Summit 2025

The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, participated in the International Aryan Summit 2025 and released commemorative coins dedicated to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and the Arya Samaj at Rohini, New Delhi, on October 31, 2025. The ₹200 coin marks the 200th Birth Anniversary of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, while the ₹150 coin marks 150 years of the Arya Samaj’s remarkable service to society.

The occasion was graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat and Maharashtra, Shri Acharya Devvrat, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, along with several other dignitaries and representatives of the Arya Samaj.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that the spiritual energy of the mantras could still be felt by everyone. He expressed that being among Arya Samaj followers always feels divine and inspiring, attributing it to the blessings of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. The Prime Minister recalled participating in earlier events marking Maharshi Dayanand’s 200th birth anniversary and appreciated that the two-year “Vichar Yajna” continued successfully. He also expressed gratitude for releasing the commemorative coins during Arya Samaj’s 150th foundation year.

Shri Modi said that this anniversary is not limited to one community but celebrates India’s Vedic identity and timeless values. He praised Arya Samaj’s major contribution to the freedom struggle and regretted that its role did not receive due recognition. He lauded its efforts to promote education, social reform, and women’s empowerment while defending Indian values against foreign influence.

Recalling Swami Dayanand’s life, the Prime Minister said he revived Indian confidence during colonial times with his call to “Return to the Vedas.” He admired Swami Ji’s fight against untouchability, caste discrimination, and illiteracy, and his pioneering role in girls’ education. Shri Modi noted that women in modern India—scientists, pilots, and innovators—reflect Swami Ji’s vision of empowerment.

He referred to Swami Dayanand’s teaching that “one who consumes the least and contributes the most is truly mature,” calling it timeless. Praising Arya Samaj’s enduring service through institutions like DAV and Gurukul Kangri, he highlighted its humanitarian work during Partition and national emergencies. He appreciated its role in preserving the Gurukul tradition and blending traditional wisdom with modern education.

Connecting the motto “Krinvanto Vishwam Aryam” with India’s global vision, Shri Modi said India’s progress contributes to world welfare through Mission LiFE, Yoga Day, and clean energy initiatives. He praised Arya Samaj’s simplicity, service, and environmental awareness and urged support for Swadeshi goods, Gyan Bharatam Mission, natural farming, and water conservation.

Concluding, the Prime Minister quoted “Sangachchhadhwam Samvadadhwam,” calling for unity and collective effort. He expressed confidence that Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati’s ideals will continue to guide India toward peace, progress, and human welfare.

This marks the 27th and 28th commemorative coin releases for the year 2025, minted by the India Government Mint, Kolkata. It is a truly special occasion, as both the founder of the Arya Samaj and the organisation itself are being commemorated together for the first time. The bookings are expected to open soon on the India Government Mint's website and will be updated in the current and upcoming bookings section.
