Mumbai Mint Opens Bookings for Shri Parshvanath Bhagwan Coins

The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has commenced bookings for commemorative coins celebrating the 2900th Janm Kalyanak and the 2800th Nirvan Kalyanak of Shri Parshvanath Bhagwan. The bookings began on February 14, 2025, and are available in limited quantities. These coins were officially released by the Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, in the presence of Jainacharya Shri Jin Piyush Sagar Surishwarji on December 25, 2024, at Ostara Jain Tirtham, Bhopalgarh, District Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The ā‚¹900 coin is issued to mark the 2900th Janm Kalyanak of Shri Parshvanath Bhagwan, and the ā‚¹800 coin is issued to mark the 2800th Nirvan Kalyanak. Both coins pay tribute to Shri Parshvanath Bhagwan with a shared theme, unique denominations, and distinct reverse inscriptions.  These coins are offered in Proof and UNC sets, available in Folder or Blister packaging. Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Sri Satguru Ram Singh Ji Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has started accepting bookings for the commemorative coin issued on Sri Satguru Ram Singh Ji . The bookings commenced on February 13, 2025, and are subject to limited availability. Earlier, the Minister of External Affairs and Culture, Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, unveiled commemorative coin with denominations of ā‚¹200 and ā‚¹10 to mark the 208th Prakash Purab of Sri Satguru Ram Singh Ji at Namdhari Gurdwara Ramesh Nagar, New Delhi, on February 11, 2024. The two-coin set, available in the Proof Set, is priced at ā‚¹4,656, while the UNC Set is priced at ā‚¹4,173, both packaged in a Folder or Blister. However, the issuance of an MDF set for this theme remains uncertain. Banknotes Featuring New RBI Governor's Signature to Be Issued Soon

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is set to release banknotes bearing the signature of its newly appointed Governor, Shri Sanjay Malhotra. As per the latest announcement, the first denomination to feature his signature will be on ā‚¹50 banknote, with the official confirmation made through an RBI press release on February 12, 2025. According to the press release, "The Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue ā‚¹50 denomination banknotes in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series, bearing the signature of Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Governor. The design of these notes remains identical in all aspects to the existing ā‚¹50 banknotes in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series. All previously issued ā‚¹50 banknotes will continue to be legal tender." The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on February 12, 2025, confirming this coin. Mohammed Rafi (24 December 1924 ā€“ 31 July 1980) was an iconic Indian playback singer, renowned for his versatile voice and ability to capture a wide range of emotions in his songs. He is celebrated as one of the greatest and most influential singers in the history of Indian music, leaving a lasting legacy with his timeless melodies. The metal composition of the ā‚¹100 coin will consist of a Quaternary Alloy, comprising 50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel, and 5% Zinc.
