Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Sri Satguru Ram Singh Ji Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has started accepting bookings for the commemorative coin issued on Sri Satguru Ram Singh Ji. The bookings commenced on February 13, 2025, and are subject to limited availability.

Earlier, the Minister of External Affairs and Culture, Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, unveiled commemorative coin with denominations of ₹200 and ₹10 to mark the 208th Prakash Purab of Sri Satguru Ram Singh Ji at Namdhari Gurdwara Ramesh Nagar, New Delhi, on February 11, 2024.

The two-coin set, available in the Proof Set, is priced at ₹4,656, while the UNC Set is priced at ₹4,173, both packaged in a Folder or Blister. However, the issuance of an MDF set for this theme remains uncertain.

Numismatists and collectors have been eagerly anticipating this coin set, as it marks the rare issuance of a lower denomination coin alongside a higher one after a significant gap. Notably, this theme feature the last ₹10 coin produced in the older specification, a bimetallic design with a copper-nickel center and an aluminum-bronze outer ring.

These coin sets can be obtained either at the Mint Premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint. You can find further details and updates in the "Current and Upcoming Bookings" section for your reference and convenience.
