The India Government Mint, Mumbai, reopened bookings for several commemorative coins that were issued on various earlier occasions. The bookings were opened today, January 28, 2026, and were subject to limited availability. These coin sets were issued as Proof Sets with booklets, whereas they were earlier available only in folder or blister packaging. The bookings began today, January 24, 2026, and are available in limited quantities. Earlier, on September 14, 2025, the commemorative coin was released by Dr. Venkat S. Ramanan, President of Sri Ramanasramam, at the Downtown Event Center in Fremont, California. The Government of India will issue a ₹60  commemorative coin  to mark the  Diamond Jubilee (60 Years) of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited .
