2010 - Re 1 and Rs 2 Experimental Coin

These experimental coins are supposed to have been minted to test out the design and streamline the press settings in 2010. These coins were minted without the "₹" symbol.


All though there were 50 Paise experimental coins, There is no mention of being struck in response to the RTI by Hyderabad Mint.

The new floral design were introduced in the year 2011 as new definitive series with the newly introduced "₹" symbol across coins of 50 Paise, 1 Rupee, 2 Rupees, 5 Rupees and 10 Rupees.

Mumbai Mint Commences Bookings for BSG Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has commenced the bookings for the ₹75  commemorative coin  issued to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Bharat Scouts and Guides . The bookings are open from today, December 24, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier on November 24, 2025, the Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel, released a ₹75 coin and a postal stamp to mark the occasion while inaugurating the 19th National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.  The ₹75 coin is available in both Proof and UNC sets, presented in a folder/blister pack. Additionally, the Proof Set is also available in an MDF box package. The Proof Set is priced at ₹6,667 and the UNC Set at ₹6,503, both offered in folder/blister packaging.
