New Possible Commemorative Coin: G20 Summit 2023

A possibility of ₹100 and ₹75 commemorative coins and postage stamps are more likely to be issued in 2023 on occasion of 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit which will take place on 9-10 September 2023 in New Delhi.

The theme for India's G20 Presidency is in sync with the key template of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s foreign policy - "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" or "One Earth-One Family-One Future".

India will hold the Presidency of the G20 from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023. As the nation ramps up its preparation to hold the summit in 2023. India will organise more than 200 events spread across major cities, including Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, etc., as part of the summit.

Earlier, Countries like China, France and Italy have issued commemorative coins at their G20 Presidencies.

Govt. of India has also issued commemorative coins like 3rd India Africa Summit in 2015, 90th Interpol General Assembly in 2022 to name a few.

Imaginary Picture. No gazette notification has issued.

The Ministry of External Affairs has already started advertising G20 India 2023 at most of Central Govt websites and expecting a gazette notification on a issue of commemorative coin. It will be great if you share your views.
