Vice President Releases ₹100 Coin on Delhi University

The Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, released the ₹100 commemorative coin, postage stamp, and centenary volume during the inauguration of the centenary celebrations of the University of Delhi on its 100th Foundation Day in New Delhi on May 01, 2022.

He also inaugurated the Centenary Website of the University and honored Ms. Kritika Khinchi, a student of Gargi College and the creator of the Centenary Logo for the University of Delhi.

The Minister extended his congratulations to the University for pioneering the implementation of all aspects of NEP 2020. He urged the prestigious University to expand the scope of skilling and education, aspiring to nurture 'job creators.' Shri Pradhan expressed confidence that the University will take a leading role in producing global citizens, contributing to India's evolution into a knowledge-based society, and setting a benchmark model for emerging economies.

This marks the third commemorative coin released in 2022, following the 150th Birth Anniversary of Kavi Muddana and the 400th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
