Shri Arun Jaitley Releases Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Coins
The Hon'ble Minister of Finance, Shri Arun Jaitley, released the ₹100 and ₹5 commemorative coins to mark the Birth Centenary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at an event organised by the Deendayal Research Institute on September 24, 2017 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The event was attended by the Union Minister of State for Culture, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, the Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, and other distinguished dignitaries. Shri Arun Jaitley, delivered the valedictory address. He spoke about the ideological churning taking place in India’s political arena and pointed out that national security was being threatened by the convergence of ultra-Left ideologies and the Islamic State (IS).
