The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) stands as a premier medical institute in India, celebrated for its commitment to excellence in education and research. It provides comprehensive training for both undergraduate and postgraduate medical and nursing students, assuring promising career paths in the defense services. Established on May 1, 1948, in accordance with the recommendations of the BC Roy Committee, the institute emerged from the amalgamation of various defense medical organizations. The bookings are open from November 25, 2023, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier, the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, released the commemorative coin and a postage stamp to mark the event on October 5, 2023, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mangubhai C. Patel, and the Chief Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, were among the distinguished dignitaries present at the occasion. The bookings commenced on November 22, 2023, and will continue until December 30, 2023. Earlier, On May 11, 2023, the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released the ₹100 coin and a postal stamp marking  National Technology Day , the 25th Anniversary of Operation Shakti at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
