Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Rani Durgavati Coin Sets
The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has opened the bookings for the ₹500 commemorative coin issued to mark the 500th Birth Anniversary of Rani Durgavati. The bookings are open from November 25, 2023, and it is subject to limited availability.
Earlier, the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, released the commemorative coin and a postage stamp to mark the event on October 5, 2023, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mangubhai C. Patel, and the Chief Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, were among the distinguished dignitaries present at the occasion.
The ₹500 coin is currently available in the Proof Set, packaged in a Folder or Blister pack, and is priced at ₹5,554. The UNC Set in a Folder or Blister pack may be issued at a later date.
These coin sets can be purchased either at the mint premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint, with updates available in the current and upcoming bookings section.
