Acharya Shri Mahapragya ₹100 Coin to be Released Soon

The ₹100 commemorative coin will be unveiled to mark the 105th Birth Anniversary of Acharya Shri Mahapragya at Koba, Ahmedabad, on August 17, 2025.

The event will be graced by the holy presence of Acharya Shri Mahashraman, accompanied by a large gathering of devotees and dignitaries from across India. Spiritual discourses, cultural programs, and special prayers will mark the occasion, reflecting the values and legacy of Acharya Shri Mahapragya.

Acharya Shri Mahapragya (1920–2010) was a revered Jain saint, philosopher, and the tenth Acharya of the Jain Swetambar Terapanth sect. Renowned for his profound scholarship, spiritual leadership, and dedication to non-violence, he guided countless followers toward a life of peace, discipline, and moral integrity. An accomplished author and orator, he initiated the Ahimsa Yatra (Journey of Non-violence) across India, promoting harmony and ethical living. His teachings continue to inspire generations seeking a path of compassion and inner transformation.

This release will mark the 18th commemorative coin for the year 2025, minted by the India Government Mint, Mumbai. The Ministry of Finance confirmed the issuance of this coin through a gazette notification dated July 24, 2025. Additionally, several more commemorative coin releases are expected this year, as outlined in the upcoming and possibility section.
