PM Narendra Modi to release ₹60 coin to mark Diamond Jubilee of CBI

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be releasing the ₹60 commemorative coin to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on April 3rd 2023, 12 PM onwards at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Shri Amit Shah, Union Home Minister & Minister of Co-Operation and Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (PP) will also mark their presence on this occasion.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is the premier investigating agency of India formed on 1 April 1963 through a Home Ministry resolution. It operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. 

The Ministry of Finance issued the gazette notification on March 29th 2023 confirming the commemorative coin.

This release will make the third commemorative coin in ₹60 denomination after 60 years of India Govt Mint, Kolkata in 2012 and 60 years of Coir Board in 2014.

RBI Coin Sets Now Available at India Govt Mint's Delhi Counter

The ₹90  commemorative coin  issued to celebrate the  90 Years of Reserve Bank of India  (RBI) is now available at the Sales Counter at India Government Mint's Corporate Office in New Delhi. The ₹90 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹4950 as of April 18, 2024. However, online bookings for the commemorative coin have not yet begun, and there may be a difference in online pricing. It's important to note that the  metal composition  of this ₹90 coin is Pure Silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams with a diameter of 44 mm. It also features 200 serrations along the edge. The ₹90 is minted by India Government Mint, Kolkata.
