The much-anticipated issuance of ICC World Cup 2019 commemorative coins —featuring a ₹1000 coin and a ₹500 coin—now appears to have been cancelled, indicating that the Government of India has shelved its earlier proposal. Initial reports had suggested that the India Government Mint, Mumbai was preparing to issue India’s first-ever pure gold commemorative coin , valued at ₹1000 and measuring approximately 18 mm, along with a ₹500 silver coin of the standard 44 mm diameter.  Leaked promotional materials and mock-up images featuring ICC World Cup 2019 branding had circulated widely across social media, creating considerable excitement among collectors. MoF issues Gazette Notification for Smt. Vijaya Raje Scindia Coin

The Government of India will issue a  commemorative coin  of ₹100 to mark the ' Birth Centenary of Smt. Vijaya Raje Scindia .' The Ministry of Finance issued the gazette notification on June 04, 2019, confirming the coin. Vijaya Raje Scindia (12 October 1919 – 25 January 2001), born Lekha Divyeshwari Devi and popularly known as the Rajmata of Gwalior, was a prominent Indian political personality. Inspired by the freedom movement after completing her education, she actively joined the struggle for independence. With a strong belief in educating the girl child and women empowerment, she dedicated herself to these causes. The  metal composition  of the ₹100 coin will consist of a Quaternary Alloy, comprising 50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel, and 5% Zinc. The Ministry of Finance issued the gazette notification on June 4, 2019, officially confirming the release of the coin. Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai (12 August 1919 – 30 December 1971) was a distinguished Indian scientist and innovator, widely recognized as the pioneer of India's space program. In 1962, Sarabhai was honored with the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Medal. The nation further acknowledged his contributions by awarding him the Padma Bhushan in 1966 and posthumously conferring the Padma Vibhushan in 1972. Sri Satguru Ram Singh Ji (1816–1885) was a revered spiritual leader, social reformer, and the founder of the Namdhari (Kuka) movement. New 20 Rupees Banknote Launched by RBI

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is preparing to introduce the new ₹20 banknote in the Mahatma Gandhi New Series, carrying the signature of Shri Shaktikanta Das, Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. This new note continues the RBI’s initiative to modernize India’s currency with enhanced design elements, improved security features, and motifs that highlight the nation’s cultural legacy. The banknote features a vibrant Greenish Yellow base color, harmonized with geometric patterns and refined design elements on both sides. On the reverse, the note prominently depicts the Ellora Caves, celebrating India’s remarkable architectural and cultural heritage.
