Recently, a surge of counterfeit Rs 10 notes depicting one or three peacocks in both black & white and colored versions, or featuring two boats, has been identified being sold at inflated prices.

Popular online shopping platforms like eBay and OLX have become breeding grounds for untrustworthy sellers, preying on unsuspecting collectors. This not only tarnishes the reputation of these portals but also poses a threat to genuine sellers.

It's crucial to note that the aforementioned notes were never designed or released by the Reserve Bank of India. They are crafted by scanning, editing on software like Photoshop, and then reprinted to deceive new collectors.

Certain sellers on eBay, including cscoins99, vintage24x, dmartt, kansalstore7 (to name a few), are marketing these fake notes as rare collectibles at exorbitant prices. This unethical practice is muddying the marketplace, leaving collectors skeptical even about legitimate sellers.

It is strongly advised to steer clear of such sellers and refrain from purchasing these types of banknotes, as they hold no genuine value and are merely replicas. Stay vigilant to protect yourself from falling victim to scams and ensure the authenticity of your collectibles.

RBI Coin Sets Now Available at India Govt Mint's Delhi Counter

The ₹90  commemorative coin  issued to celebrate the  90 Years of Reserve Bank of India  (RBI) is now available at the Sales Counter at India Government Mint's Corporate Office in New Delhi. The ₹90 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹4950 as of April 18, 2024. However, online bookings for the commemorative coin have not yet begun, and there may be a difference in online pricing. It's important to note that the  metal composition  of this ₹90 coin is Pure Silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams with a diameter of 44 mm. It also features 200 serrations along the edge. The ₹90 is minted by India Government Mint, Kolkata.
